Great Day SA

Jayden and I had the pleasure of being on Great Day SA this morning, to talk a little about Jayden's Journey and organ donation. I love to share Jayden's story because I believe Jayden's suffering and journey overall has a purpose. One of my goals in life is to get as many people as possible aware of organ donation both after death and through living organ donation. There are so many people on the waiting list and about half of those will die waiting for an organ. It is devastating to think about these statistics when the outcome could be different if only we all took that step and registered to be an organ donor and communicated that desire to our family, because donating organs is a time sensitive issue putting your name on the organ donor list doesn't always mean your organs will be donated. So make sure if it is your desire to donate your organs or your children's in the event that a tragedy occurs please communicate this with your loved ones. We don't have to be doctors to save lives. We can make a difference in so many lives just by one decision.

I attached the link to our segment of Great Day SA please feel free to share on your blogs or your websites. Pass it on! The more people we can get to hear about Organ Donation and spread the awareness (put a face to the disease sort of thing) the more possibility of getting people to learn the facts and save lives!

It has been so touching to read about Jayden and his story. WOW! What a trooper! I haven't been registered as an organ donor before, but after reading your blog I will definitely change that! It would be so wonderful to be someone else's miracle. Just...WOW. thank you for sharing your story!
